City Chic

Didn't get the chance to blog because the last few weeks were hectic, but thankfully the craziness has mellowed down... for now.

On the bright side, Simona came back to New York for another week and we decided to do a fashion-inspired photoshoot on Sunday. For my previous photoshoots with friends, I stuck to my role as the photographer (prepared the props, directed their poses, snapped the photos, etc).

This photoshoot was special because I got to combine fashion and photography. Simona emptied her suitcase and allowed me to style her with the clothes she'd brought. It made me realize how much I really want to pursue fashion photography.

I had plenty of fun styling and photographing her. For this look, I decided to go for neutral colors like cream and olive. The wind was crazy and her wild hair was flying everywhere, so I took a scarf and tied it around her head to resemble a gypsy-like headband. She rocked it so well! And she was a natural in front of the camera.

We shot four looks that sunny afternoon, each one different from the rest. I'll feature the other three over the next few days. Stay tuned! :)
