Coney Island

In celebration of Memorial Day, I took the train with Erika to Coney Island, located at the very south of Brooklyn. It took us an hour and a half to finally arrive at our destination. The weather was perfect for a nice day on the beach and the boardwalk. While Coney Island is a famous tourism spot in New York, it's never crowded on a Monday afternoon. Well, it wasn't just a regular Monday, it was Memorial Day. That explained the large throng of locals and tourists.

After standing in line for 10 minutes to get fries and cheese sticks, I met Erika's coworkers Cady and Jacqui from Racked.com, a fashion retail site. The four of us chilled on the beach beneath the vast blue sky and talked about everything from Jacqui's funny sorority stories to fashion and food. It was a windy Monday by the water, enveloped in casual bliss.

Been doing a lot of flying in the last month with my family. :) Feeling really blessed to be traveling around with them and seeing the world through fresh eyes.

Iphoneography

Hello! I've decided to share some shots taken with my iPhone 4S. I like taking photos on the go, but I don't have my bulky camera on me all the time. That's when the phone comes in handy. As we know, iPhones are taking over the photography scene. With the astounding amount of apps and instant filters, it's no surprise that people are reverting to the iPhones.

I'm a huge fan of filters, especially vintage filters, which makes up a huge chunk of my iphoneography. My friends think I'm a little bit crazy for having three full folders of photography apps on my phone, but I can't help myself. Everytime a new photography app appears on the App Store, I'm tempted to give it a try if it looks promising.

The first two pictures were taken in Louisiana this past weekend, and the rest were taken in Arkansas. Gotta love the scenery in the south. :)
